Dehri-On-Sone : The police have arrested four persons and detained six others in connection with the murder of a scrap businessman and RJD leader Sadruddin late on Tuesday night, police said.
Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Mithilesh Kumar said that the deceased was shot at on his forehead by members of Vinod Painter gang when Sadruddin was on his way home after closing his shop situated at Mohanbigha road of the town.
The local people admitted Sadruddin to a nearby private hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead, the SDPO said.
Rohtas’ District Superintendent of Police Vikas Vaibhav visited the hospital and met the family members of Sadruddin.
Ashok Master of Vinod Painter gang had demanded extortion money from Sadruddin three days ago, the SDPO said adding that four persons – Manjhila Kahar, Anand Choudhary, Laxman Chaiwala and Munna Sharma along with firearms.
The police are conducting raids at various places to nab the absconding culprits namely Vinod Painter, Ashok Master and Pankaj Ojha, Kumar said.
RJD has called for a bandh in protest against the murder of Sadruddin on Wednesday.
