Begusarai: Petrol pump owner robbed

BEGUSARAI — Two motorcycle borne miscreants today looted over Rs seven lakh from a petrol pump owner at gun point on the entrance of local branch of UCO bank at Kapasia chowk in Begusarai district, police sources said.
Deputy superintendent of police, Vivekanand said that the miscreants snatched the bag at gun point containing Rs 7.59 lakh from the pump owner Umashanker Singh who had come to deposit the money to the UCO bank.
The pump owner received minor injuries when he resisted their attempt to loot and was treated at local sadar hospital, the DSP said.
The borders of the district had been sealed and search operations launched to nab the criminals, the DSP said.
