Bihar is the third-largest maize producer in the country and is number one as far as production of Rabbi maize is concerned as it produces 60 per cent of it. Government of Bihar is providing special incentives to NRIs and NRBs to invest in food processing sector. Let us join hands to make Bihar India's no. 1 state. Think beyond animal fodder. This can grow in a difficult weather and soil conditions. Good variety of seeds can produce good yield. The rest part of the plant can be used as fodder for cattles. I think, we need to educate people and need to develop a channel (a center) at every panchayat who can educate, provide seeds and can buy maize from producers.
