MUZAFFARPUR — Hundreds of law students today allegedly assaulted the Vice Chancellor, Pro Vice Chancellor and Registrar of the B R Ambedkar University after they caught some students cheating during an exam at a college in this Bihar town.
In a surprise visit to the exam centre at Mahesh Prasad Science College here, Vice Chancellor Raj Deo Singh, Pro-VC N K Yadav Indu and Registrar A K Srivastava found that some students were indulging in cheating, official sources said.
As they tried to seize their answer sheets, the examinees for Bachelor of Law turned violent. They assaulted the university officials, the media men accompanying them and burnt the official car of the Pro VC, the sources said.
The VC and other university officials had to leave the place in the face of the violent protest.
