GHORASAHAN — Heroin worth Rs 60 lakh in the international market was today seized from an alleged smuggler by SSB jawans at a railway crossing near Ghorasahan station in East Champaran district.
Acting on a tip-off, SSB jawans captured Mohammad Zaheer and seized 600 gm heroin from his possession, SSB Inspector H R Mishra said, adding he was arrested and sent to jail.
The value of the heroin was estimated to be around Rs 60 lakh in the international market, he said.
Zaheer is allegedly involved in smuggling of intoxicant into India from Nepal, he said.
