Gopalganj: Jeep collides truck, 10 dead, 3 injured

GOPALGANJ — Ten persons were killed and three others seriously injured when an overcrowded jeep collided with a truck near in Gopalganj district today.

The incident happened at Kuchaykot area in the district.

Five persons were killed on the spot, while eight others were seriously injured, police said.

The injured were rushed to a nearby government hospital where five of them succumbed to their injuries. The condition of the other three was stated to be critical, they said.

The jeep, carrying 25 passengers, was on its way to Siwan from Gopalganj district, police added.
