DID YOU KNOW? Vikramshila Gangetic Dolphin Sanctuary - the dolphin population across India is little over 1,500. Half of these are found in the Ganga in Bihar.
"Henceforth (Jan 26, 2010), for all intents and purposes, Jai Bihar will use Patliputra instead of Patna (e.g. Patna University will be called Patliputra University). We appeal to all to do the same. Your suggestions solicited at s@jaibihar.com." - Sanjeev Singh

Manoj Tiwari’s house in Bombay attacked

News Desk - November 17, 2009

BOMBAY — A group of about 15-20 unidentified persons on Monday night attacked the residence of Bhojpuri singer actor Manoj Tiwari in suburban Bombay.

Tiwari’s spokesman Shashikant Singh said that the mob came at the bungalow of Tiwari around 9 pm at MHADA in Four Bungalows area and asked his staff that they wanted to meet the actor.

“When they were told that Tiwari was out of town, they started pelting stones. They demanded that the Bhojpuri actor shift out of Bombay to his native place,” Singh said.

They also said that Tiwari had made a statement against Shiv Sena while commenting over Sena supremo Bal Thackeray’s comments on Sachin Tendulkar.

Singh said Tiwari has denied reacting on the Thackeray-Tendulkar issue.

A complaint has been lodged with the Versova police, he said.

Police confirmed the incident but said it was not yet known who were behind the incident.

Last year Tiwari’s office had been attacked allegedly by activists of Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Napunsak Sena (MNS) as a part of the party’s anti-north Indian campaign.

Manoj tiwari should live in bihar – The land of Buddha and Peace
Also Bihar and UP should focus on developing Hindi/Bhojpuri Film inudstry so that good ppl like Manoj tiwari dont have to go and live in Mumbai as long as Raj Thakre like people are there !!
