Motihari: Pakridayal Block Education Officer (BEO) Binda Ram was caught red-handed by Vigilance officials while demanding and accepting bribe.
According to the information, Binda Ram had demanded Rs 65,000 bribe from Krishnadev Ram, a teacher of Sheikhpurwa Middle School, for releasing his outstanding salary.

Krishnadev Ram had complained to the Vigilance department. After verifying the claim, the Vigilance sleuths constituted a team and nabbed Binda Ram red handed accepting the bribe money. The accused BEO was then taken to capital Patna where the Vigilance team is expected take further action against him.
Krishnadev Ram alleged that his salary was withheld since nine months. The BEO had demanded Rs 75,000 to release his salary. Krishnadev said he had already paid Rs 10,000 but the BEO was insisting for the rest of the bribe money to be paid before releasing his salary.
