PIL on waterlogging adjourned

PATNA — A division Bench of the Patna High Court comprising Justice S K Katriar and Justice K K Mandal, adjourned to April 2010, the hearing of a PIL alleging failure of the civic agencies.in Bihar’s capital.
Advocate Shyam Kishore Sharma, in his PIL alleged failure of the civic agencies, particularly the Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC), to solve waterlogging problem in the city.
The court directed the PMC to file an affidavit during the next hearing of the case, giving details of the steps taken in this regard.
Advocate-general P K Sahi submitted that waterlogging has been a problem not only in Patna but also in metros like Bombay.
