Scoffing the claims made by RJD chief Lalu Prasad that Nitish Kumar had wanted to return to the Bihar’s Opposition Alliance (OA) six months after aligning with the BJP, vice president of JDU Prashant Kishor said that Lalu’s claims are bogus.
The election strategist though accepted meeting Lalu many times before joining Nitish led JDU.
“But if I were to tell what all was discussed then he would be quite embarrassed,” added Prashant.
Amidst allegations of jailed Lalu Prasad talking to his political associates and people outside jail over phone in violation of jail manual Lalu has claimed that Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar wanted to return to OA – nicknamed ‘Mahagathbandhan’ within six months of walking out and joining hands with BJP.
He claimed JDU vice-president Prashant Kishor made several attempts on behalf of Nitish to negotiate Nitish’s re-entry into the Opposition Alliance comprising of RJD and Congress.
“I repulsed his offer because I had no trust in Nitish left,” claimed Lalu.
Lalu has been sentenced in four fodder scam cases by different CBI courts in Ranchi and is in prison from December, 2017. However, the convicted RJD chief is admitted in the paying ward of the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) for various ailments.
