Thackeray, Lalu most hit by “shoes”

Ajit Kumar - April 30, 2009

PATNA — The Internet holds enormous potential to alter the way people engage in political debate and source information. But has the digital revolution really enhanced democracy in true way?

Experts say that if it wasn’t for the Internet, Obama would not be US president. Obama’s YouTube spots gathered an aggregate of 14.5 million viewing hours. Obama leveraged it fully with online video, blogging, social networking and fundraising.

From Obama’s use of the internet to drive his presidential campaign victory to the challenges faced by traditional news media, digital technology is challenging and changing established institutions on a number of fronts.

Several online opinion polls as well as political games have been launched recently to cash in on the poll frenzy in India. No matter, if you’ve not touched the age to be eligible to cast your vote in the elections, you can still vote for your favorite leader or fulfill your desire to hurl shoes at politicians you dislike.

A “shoe-shooting” website http://jutamaro.com was recently launched where you can hurl shoes at politicians faces on the site.

The “Noth-Indian hater” politician and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief, Raj Thackeray, is topping the list of  ”most unpopular leaders” in the country deserving the most of the shoe-hits on his face. He got hit by 9742 jutas.

However, Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad is not far behind with 9368 shoe-hits to occupy the second slot after Thackeray.

Congress president Sonia Gandhi occupies the third rank with 6961 jutas. BJP’s prime ministerial candidate LK Advani is fourth in the ranking with a hit count of 6874.

Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi, BSP chief and UP chief minister Mayawati, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Samajwadi Party (SP) Mulayam Yadav also rank high in the list.

Other prominent leaders on the website to get jutas are Tamilnadu chief minister M Karunanidhi, Jagdish Tytler, NCP chief Sharad Pawar, Vasundhara Raje, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, AIADMK supremo Jayalalitha, Trinamool Congress chief Mamta Banerjee, Rahul Gandhi, Punjab CM Parkash Singh Badal among others. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has not got too much shoes on the website.

The website registered on April 17, 2009 is  owned by Salil Jain of Rajatshan who claims that the website is “not influenced by politics but by good humor” .

JUTA MARO bhi ek good PR company hai jo hum logo ka time khota karwa ke in chutie politicians ka PR karwa rahi hai.

Public log samajhdari laoo apne andar. itna phokat ka time hai to jakar cricket bowling karo shayad Cricketer ban jaoge.

Pakistani hamse jeyada samajhdaar hai– unhone apne 5 logo ko sirf 17 jute mare. shayad unhe pata hai ki time ka sahi use karna chahiye.

some BULLS think only BULLSHIT
