RJD leader shot dead

News Desk - June 10, 2009

PATNA — Senior RJD leader Pervez Alam was killed and his two brothers were critically wounded on Wednesday by unidentified men who fired at them near Digha area here, triggering protests by angry locals, police said.

The assailants fired at Alam, a contractor, and his two brothers at Banskothi locality this morning. Though the RJD leader was rushed to the Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH), he succumbed to his injuries there.

“As the news of his killing spread, angry locals assembled and blocked Patna-Digha-Danapur road for several hours, shouted anti-government slogans and demanded immediate arrest of the killers,” they said.

“The mob burnt several vehicles, including motorcycles and rickshaws, tyres and also damaged few houses,” police said.

“Patrolling was intensified as tension ran high in the area,” they said.

RJD President Lalu Prasad met Alam’s injured brothers at the hospital and assured them of all help.

also, the congress has ruled over us for last 60 years but what they have done for us is publicly known so please dont trust on them. i hate bjp also for its fu.k.n. remarks over religionism and this is certainly a major setback for our growth as one india. we should open our eyes to look beyond the intentions of these ass hole leaders. india is ours and we need to build it in ur own way as per the constitution of india with great harmony amongst all the indians.

Ravi,
i am stunned with ur comment as to how could u term lalu as being a person who doesnt discriminate over caste. infact he has made the politics in bihar to be caste dominated. he openly states in his speeches about making castism at a strong foot.
u should think above castism and should open up ur eyes to see what is wrong and what is not.
god bless u for ur own development.

You can not blame nitish for any occurrence these are due to congress and RJD.
Since 1947 who ruiled on India and from Last 15 years in Bihar.

drastic change is not possible, It will take some time.
Rahul ghandhi EAK DHOKA HAI MERE BHAI.
He can do something for taking minority vote only.
Look behind and think again

Bihar is again burning ,i do not understand why media is not giving a special coverage ,it used to happen during laoo regime it should happen in nitish regime also so that evryone can understand that we need a dynamic and a youth leader like rahul gandhi to make bihar grow. He should be not divided because of the caste . Bihar needs someone who thinks beyound caste like laloo( PUBLICLY KNOWN FACT) And Nitish ( PUBLICLY NOT KNOWN BUT INSIDERS kNOW what is the fact)
