The marriage phenomenon

Ravi Pandey - December 9, 2009

Celebrities are the zaniest characters of the real world. Some days ago, I saw an article related to the marriages of foreign celebrities and after poring through the article I never got the hunch that there was a substance like marriage.

The tryst of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise is a set of contract papers which determines their together existence. First Katie signed an agreement for embracing the religion of Tom Cruise, then she signed an agreement for their baby (contract kid I would say) and the chronic contracts didn’t end here. She renews her contract every year and every contract levies a deficit of millions in Cruise’s account, such is the profoundness of beauty. I think Tom must have seen his ex-wife Nicole Kidman many a times in his dreams after tying the contract knot with Katie.

Most exotic celebrities are inept when it comes to put kibosh on their testosterone rush and the recent prey of this rush is Tiger Woods, who is on the verge of a break up with his wife. I got a ludicrous but serious (oxymoron) premonition that in next two decades you’ll see the most number of orphans in the United States.

George Clooney, another prominent celebrity is shrewd when it comes to hooking up with mistresses. The shrewdness of his sexual escapades is ostensible from the fact that he does all these adventures without indulging in nuptial knot. So there are less chances of getting tainted by sudden revelations. The list of such celebrities will never end; such is the ‘marriage phenomenon’ in America.

India has copied America many a times like in dressing sense, then bringing reality shows like Indian Idol (from American Idol). The good thing is that we have brought only the pros from America.

There is another new phenomenon engulfed with marriage i.e. ‘Live-in relationship’ which I think is one of the cons that we have brought from abroad.

Luxury complicates life. Isn’t it? Business has become the synonym of life and for that some people are not worried of their moral scruples. Not only climate needs to get purified but human body also needs to get purged. I hope such devastating phenomenon will never touch our borders.

These celebrities are giving a new form to the marriage culture of Muslims which allows them to keep at most four spouses. Only difference is that these celebrities have swapped ‘spouse’ with ‘mistress’.

Ravi Pandey views are quite sensible ,this hooking up activity is not some commendable aspect of one’s life and at some prime of life a person has to face the consequences in front of his family, wife and children which can be quite embarrasing and shameful. i don’t think even good christians or english people approve of such hooking up culture. but then again it is one’s personal choice , raja or maharaja in olden days in india too kept so many mistress coz they cud afford them

You are not able to fathom my point, I never said about their culture, I just talked about hooking up and you are always relating it as a culture.

If there are people like Boney kapoor, Azhar then they will also face consequences at some prime of life. I was saying that almost every celebrity in hollywood are disloyal, they are not fixed to one girl.

There is nothing like dat I abhor hollywood celebrities. Matt Damon is one of the sincere guys in the list.

Shriman Moral Preacher Pandey ji,

First of all, I request you to learn to do blogging with respect. In your article, you are preaching how bad American culture is and you yourself forgot your own desi culture of being civil in discussion. I can atleast expect some civility from you on blog since you are a moral columnist on Jai Bihar editorial board.

Now regarding you comment about Clooney and Tom, They are in show biz. Even in Bollywood, you can find people equivalent of Clooney and Woods, Like Darmender, Booney Kapoor, Kishor Kumar, Sanjay Dutt and list is long ….. Also how can we forget our very own Azhar who married Bijlani. Our Ganguly’s affair with Nagma. Do you think all these people represent Indian culture ?? I think no…. So same way, Clooney and Woods don’t represent American culture.

Don’t make assumptions about me, I am not a journalist. Every person has his/her opinion and I just showcased it here. Why you are so fetish atmy rebuke on these guys, Does tiger shares a genome with you or Clooney has replaced you on bed. I don’t wanna rile you but you intellect is like some kido. I am not seeing foreign culture with any desi veneer, I am seeing it with an holistic frame of mind and hooking around with girls is nowhere’s culture, people like you name it foreign or blah-blah or perhaps it’s because somewhere you think that keeping a wife and folloing around with other girls is a legitimate activity.

I see another tiger in you but not in the golf field but on the bed, keep hooking around with mistresses to which you are so fetish about.

Mr. Ravi Pandey,
What a pathetic journalist or columnist you are. You started writing columns and you won’t take criticism. Also, What is “Yadav Phenomena” ?? I didn’t get it, come again.
Now please read your own article. This is a ridiculous article written by you. You are seeing a foreign culture by wearing desi googles. You are berating foreign culture by giving examples of Clooney and Woods. Clooney and Woods don’t represent American value and culture. Thats why they are laughed at every day by standup comedian.
You should not be allowed to write article on Jai Bihar coz’ of your pea size intellect. You even can’t write blog. Look how abusive language and Castic remarks you made.

@Amit, You are not a far cry from Lalu’s ass. I was trying to manifest what effect it will have on their children when they will be seen ferreting for their parents in adulthood or being brought up by a single parent. You have a ‘Yadav Phenomenon’.

Most ridiculous article ever read on JaiBihar. A Desi criticizing a hollywood marriages. You and me , and Tom Cruise are apple and oranges. His situation and problems are different than ours. He is signing a contract because of unforeseen trouble in future, which is common in Hollywood.

Pandey Ji keep your advices to you and your kid, don’t preach it to world.
Tiger wood is like our earlier Maharaja or Nawab, He earns $ 1 billion a year, He can have ten times more Mistress than Shah Jhan or Maharaja of Patiala.

Really Jai bihar editor should not allows these Moral preacher’s articles on its website.
