PUNE — A day after cricketer Sachin Tendulkar snubbed Raj Thackeray led MNS saying Bombay belonged to all Indians, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has warned Thackeray’s party against divisive politics.
The RSS will not be a mute spectator if the hate campaign continues, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said while interacting with journalists in Pune on Saturday.
In an obvious reference to the Raj Thackeray, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday said the “extreme stance” taken by some politicians on language and other regional issues was totally uncalled for.
Addressing a rally here, Bhagwat said, “All Indian languages are our languages. Regional issues are being flared up by politicians only for their personal gains and to increase their vote-bank.”
Disapproving of the recent violence in the Maharashtra state assembly he said that those wanting to voice the problems of the Marathi manoos must not damage the national spirit and harmony of the nation. Bhagwat further said that social unity fell victim to such extreme positions. Questioning the logic behind stretching regional issues to such lengths, Bhagwat said politicians are only interested in exploiting the situation for their own good.
He also referred to the Cauvery water dispute to show how regional issues were being kept alive for narrow gains and expressed concern over the government not doing enough to prevent infiltration of people from across the borders.
Stating that the RSS stood for the unity of the people and that it respected their diversities, Bhagwat said the philosophy of Hindutva alone could help people come together.
On a cautionary note, Bhagwat said people got a government they deserved in a democracy. And, therefore, for political representatives to change, the society’s outlook would have to change.

Dear Friends, How capable RSS is? When BJP is with Shivsena in Maharashtra what kept Mohan Bhagwat quiet, forget denouncing Raj Thackeray or Bal Thackeray in his current avatar. They are even contemplating a Marathi person to make the chief of BJP.
Its time that people of Bihar realize that no national party is doing anything to protect either native of Bihar or its culture. People sometime may say a few sympathetic words only to convert it into electoral gains.
All thakre should be banned from politics and their party like Shiv Sena and MNS should be completely banned.
Bihar should focus more on Bihar social and economic development by educational institutes and industries , We biharis should not be scared and should not care about remarks of dirty people like Raj Thakre or Bal Thakre !!
Jai Bihar !! Jai Buddha!!
How can these thakre’s give such remarks about Sachin!!!!! They even don’t know their limit!!!!! They are not even equal to his Toes! Can’t they themselves think, what Sachin has given to India and Maharashtra! and what they have given to their state???????? Forget India! “Kuan ka Medhak!” hai ye saare!
Sachin is not running to care for just Maratha Manus organisation! He belongs to India, or even whole world cares for him. If people from Maharashtra really love him they should stop buying “Saaman” from now onwards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And they should stop running behind Raj Thakrey like his pets!!!!!!!!!
“Bal” and All Thackrey, seems to be frogs from same pool! They all feel to be Marathi first and then Indian!!!!!!!
In an editorial in his party’s mouthpiece, on Monday morning, Bal Thackeray declared Sachin’s been “run-out on the Marathi pitch.”
Advising Sachin to stay away politics, Sena supremo Bal Thackeray said in an open letter on the front page of his organisation’s newspaper, Saamna:
“You have played like a king and become a multi-millionaire, no one has issues with that. But at a press conference, you said you are proud of being Marathi but are an Indian first. This has hurt Marathi people.”
Sanjay Raut, spokesperson for the Sena, also said Thackeray “is 100% right” in his remarks against Tendulkar.
Meanwhile, the BCCI has come out strongly in defence of the batting maestro. “Shiv Sena’s comment is completely uncalled for. Whoever said this should be brought to book,” Shukla said.
A Very…Very Good Move against dirty politician. We are Indian & all language are respectable for ous.We have selected Hindi as Rashtra Bhasa which united our people in one flag JAI BHARAT

Dear Friends,
It is surprising that RSS is waking up now when all the bloodshed in Maharashtra has already happened and the state elections are over. RSS chief is electing a Marathi Manoos to lead BJP and its partner in Maharashtra is trying to win back popular Marathi sentiments by taking the same route as MNS. None of these national parties are able to defend the natives of Bihar in any other state. We should just think about our strong hold.
